Plant equipment limited was established in 1982, it was a small two man operation that carried out services and mounting of cranes in a small rented premises.

The company quickly expanded due to the increase of mechanical lifting equipment and its close proximity to brick manufacturers.

After 5 years the company had rapidly expanded and a new facility was needed, land was purchased on a prestigious new industrial estate near Alfreton, close to the m1 junction 28. A brand new dedicated workshop was built to which numerous additions have been made. The company now boasts a 10,000 square feet workshop with a overhead crane, offices, and all the tools needed for the job.

The company also offers an advanced driver training course for all the atlas cranes that it supply’s, to A.L.L.M.I standard’s.

The company is the main UK agent for Atlas-Terex cranes, and they also supply KINSHOFER and FIELDEN hydraulic brick grabs, PROBST mechanical block laying equipment and PLATFORM trailers. The fact the company is the UK’s longest established  LOMBARDINI engine agent is an indication of its stature.

Complimentary truck bodywork is manufactured in house including specialised dropsides and all types of tipping bodies, full paintwork for the complete job.
