Attention - Crane Operators or Employers of same
Are you sure you/your have the correct Certification to comply with current legislation.
Under Section 2 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, it shall be the duty of employers to ensure as far as is reasonably practical the health, safety and welfare of all employees whilst at work. Furthermore that the employer will provide, and maintain, safe plant and systems of work, provide adequate information, instruction, training and supervision and therefore reduce the risk involved in the use, handling and storage or articles and substances.
There are many sets of health and safety legislation that apply to the lorry loader, these include Lifting Operation and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER), Provision Use Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER), Management of Health and Safety at Work (MHSAW) and Machinery Directive (Essential Health and Safety Requirements). These sets of regulations are made law to increase the safety of operators and generally employees. This manual and the overall course content will also contribute to keeping you and those around you safe, it will also enable you and your employers to meet legal duties and requirements in respect of lorry loaders, but this training should also be seen as part of an overall approach to health and safety.
Many site engineers etc. are requesting Certification for both operator and Crane, before allowing either on site. The answer is to have your operator and crane Certified under the ALLMI scheme.
We can offer you professional operator and slingers courses tailored to suit your needs/budget. This can be onsite, or at our comprehensive training facility.

Attention Business Operators
Transport Managers
Are your crane operators / cranes correctly and legally qualified / certificated?
If not Plant Equipment have the answer.
Taking into consideration the current litigation frenzy in this country, it would be advisable to ensure you have all bases covered.
LOLER & PUWER regulations require all crane operators to be trained in the use of any equipment they may use.
Many site engineers / H & S officers are requesting certification for both operator and crane before being allowed on site.
As the only crane operator training scheme in the country with HSE "Working In Partnership" logo on their paperwork, we would be delighted to provide your training and testing requirements. This can be provided here, or at your place of business. At our premises we have a dedicated training room with OHP and video facilities. We also have a training vehicle with hook / Grab / Clam shell Bucket facilities. If you require any information on either provision, or prices for packages to suit your requirements
